Neighborhood
Southern Kreuzberg, on a quiet side street, ten minutes from everything.
The hotel is on Ritterstraße, a wide, leafy street that most of Berlin forgets — which is, in our view, the best argument for it. The nearest U-Bahn (Moritzplatz, U8) is four minutes on foot. The nearest excellent breakfast that is not ours (Markthalle Neun) is eleven minutes. The nearest field where you can lie down in long grass and read a book (Tempelhofer Feld) is fourteen minutes through the back streets.
Mitte starts five minutes' walk to the north over the Oranienplatz canal bridge; the Kotti neighbourhood and its nightlife is nine minutes to the east; the Landwehrkanal is six minutes to the south.

Nightlife & energy
Ritterstraße itself is quiet after 22:00. Walk three minutes east and you're in the Oranienstraße corridor (SO36, Roses, Mrs Lovell); walk five minutes south-east and you're in the Kottbusser Tor density. Tresor is twelve minutes' walk west; Berghain is a twelve-minute taxi or a 22-minute S-Bahn at night. We do not offer ourselves as experts on Berghain queues, but the night porter will give you their honest opinion on the right hour to try.
Quiet & green
Our courtyard. Tempelhofer Feld. The Landwehrkanal towpath. Prinzessinnengarten community garden (8 min). The Engelbecken duck pond at the end of Michaelkirchplatz (11 min) — a small, near-perfect Berlin moment.
