Rooftop bar (seasonal)

Rooftop Uplink

A small rooftop with a wood-fired oven and a generous view.

Up the staff stair (or take the small lift at the back of the lobby — staff will direct), past a brass door we keep deliberately unmarked, you'll find the rooftop: a tiled deck the size of a generous apartment, a wood-fired Stefano Ferrara oven in the corner, a small bar in the middle, and a view across the western roofs of Kreuzberg toward the long green of Tempelhofer Feld.

We open the rooftop from May to September, daily from 17:00, weather permitting. We close on the first day we cannot keep the candles lit. We do not take rain checks; we take you downstairs to The Null Pointer and put your drink on the house.

To eat

A small wood-fired menu from the oven:

  • Flammkuchen — crème fraîche, smoked onion, speck. €13
  • Burrata flatbreadBurrata di Andria, charred radicchio, a thread of honey. €15
  • Whole turbot for two — when the boat comes in (usually Thursdays). €52, market
  • Roasted plums on labneh — for the table, with rosemary salt and Sironi sourdough toast. €11

To drink

A vermouth-and-spritz list designed for a slow evening:

  • Highball "Tempelhof"Mancino Sakura vermouth, soda, a fat strip of grapefruit. €10
  • Negroni della casa — equal parts; the gin is Berliner Brandstifter, the vermouth rotates. €12
  • Riesling spritzChristmann trocken, Three Cents grapefruit soda, no garnish. €11
  • A short, careful list of Rieslings by the glass, all from the 2022 and 2023 vintages
  • Augustiner Helles on tap; Berliner Berg unfiltered Pilsner in bottle
  • A small selection of non-alcoholic spritzes; ask the bar.

Sunset

The sun sets behind the chimneys of the Wassertor power-substation in June and July; behind the Fernsehturm, narrowly, in August. In September the angle is wrong and the light goes early. None of this is bookable.
